“SCREAMER Run” – 2025 Juried Coloring Book Call for Artists

ART 2 HEAL 4 HUE is a community-driven coloring book project created to uplift spirits and support people through challenging times. We’re inviting artists to submit original, full-color artwork to be transformed into black & white coloring pages for a meaningful cause.

The completed coloring books will be:

• Sold locally

• Distributed for FREE to hospital patients, veterans, the elderly, and anyone in extra need of joy and comfort.

This initiative supports Adptisport, a nonprofit helping amputees and veterans through adaptive fitness, empowerment, and community.

👻 THEME:

“Spooky Fun Run” – playful, spooky, festive, uplifting! Think fun costumes, autumn energy, Halloween joy, and movement.

📅 KEY DATES:

• Submission Deadline: September 21, 2025

• Notification of Acceptance: September 22, 2025

• Coloring Book Release Event: October 4, 2025 at Screamer Run 2025
  (Pick-up for physical entries also available on this day.)

🖌️ ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Submit full-color artwork that will be converted to a black & white coloring page

• Vertical format preferred

• High-quality digital file (at least 1MB)

• Any medium is welcome: paintings, photography, digital, mixed media, etc.

• Limit: Up to 3 entries per artist

• Entry Fee: $15 per entry (non-refundable)

  • Payable via PayPal, Zelle, cash, or check to ART2HEAL

✅ Entries are only official once you receive a confirmation reply.

Include in your email:

1. Digital image of your artwork (1MB minimum)

2. Artist photo

3. Short artist biography

4. A 100-word or less statement on how your artwork inspires or brings comfort

⚖️ TERMS & CONDITIONS:

• Artwork must be original. Reference photos must be your own or used with permission.

• No nudity or offensive content. All ages welcome.

• By submitting, you grant ART 2 HEAL 4 HUE a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your artwork for:

  • Coloring book production and sales

  • Contest promotion

  • Social media and marketing

  • Product packaging
    (With full credit given wherever possible)

• Artists retain full ownership of their work.

• The Bakersfield Art Association and ART 2 HEAL 4 HUE are not responsible for loss or damage. Artists should carry their own insurance.
