GOVERNING LAW

DISPUTE RESOLUTION (How Legal Issues Will Be Handled)
Informal Negotiations: If you have any issue with us, you agree to first try to work it out with us informally for at least 30 days before starting any legal action.
Binding Arbitration: If we can’t resolve the issue informally, you agree to settle it through binding arbitration instead of going to court. By agreeing to this, you give up your right to sue us in court and have a jury trial. The arbitration will follow the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitration can take place in person, through documents, by phone, or online. The arbitrator will make a written decision, but doesn’t have to explain their reasoning unless asked. The arbitrator must follow the law, and their decision can be challenged if they don’t. Unless the AAA rules or the law says otherwise, the arbitration will take place in the county where we are located in California. We can still go to court to force arbitration, to stop court proceedings while arbitration is happening, or to enforce the arbitrator’s decision.
If, for some reason, a dispute ends up in court instead of arbitration, it will be in the state or federal courts in our county in California. You agree to accept the jurisdiction of these courts and won’t argue that they’re not the right place. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and the Uniform Computer Information Transaction
You can’t start any legal action related to our Site more than one year after the issue happened. If this part about the time limit is found to be illegal, then neither of us will choose to arbitrate that specific issue, and it will be decided by the courts in our county in California.
Restrictions: You agree that any legal action will be just between you and us individually. To the extent the law allows, you can’t bring a class action lawsuit or join your claim with anyone else’s in arbitration.
